What say you oppo?

Sure it’s fine. Cheap. There are a billion of them in junk yards to grab a gas tank from.

That’s my opinion... of course pending inspection, base on low mileage, low price and (I imagine, I didn’t see it) the 4.3 V6.
But I don’t want to steer anyone wrong here. Thanks.

Rust over the fuel tank and transmission issues would be number one on my list of advice.
Thanks.

How’s the insurance on that?
![]() 10/31/2016 at 19:04 |

In my experience, the insurance on wagons like this should be pretty low.
It’s not a WRX... doesn’t even have a turbo.
![]() 10/31/2016 at 19:49 |

How is it that cheap?
![]() 10/31/2016 at 21:21 |

Decent price. I echo other comments regarding rust.
The throttle body gets gummed up which can cause the gas pedal to stick.
These have remote heat exchangers for oil. And all the connecting hoses will leak and fill the skid plate / tray with oil. Luckily that skid plate has a 2 quart capacity (keeping drips off your driveway) but only if it still has the door for the oils filter, which most owners will rip off in a fit of rage shortly after they have lost all the skin on their knuckles.
Like all 4x4 s-10's the passenger footwell is super cramped and stays hot thanks to the transfer case.
Doors rust. Rubber door trim bows and comes incrimped from the flange. Rear latch hardware fails.
But it’s cheap. And in spite of all that, these are fun to drive and hard to kill.
-oh I forgot, even though it has a short wheelbase, the turning radius is is terrible. Like crew cab long bed truck terrible.

It’s over 10 years old, is automatic, has 240,000km and it lives in Ontario where the roads get salted.

I didn’t know anywhere used actual salt anymore. That would be the best reason out of all of them. I’ve seen some 90's Subaru’s here in Indiana that have been destroyed by rust due to the state using salt back then.
